Fiber cement siding is also a great choice, offering a balance of durability, appearance, and cost.

  • Does siding installation affect the interior of the home?

Trim

  • What is the purpose of vinyl trim work on a home?

Trim is not just for aesthetics or curb appeal. It also protects the wood around the edges of the home and behind the gutters. Soffit increases air flow to the roof and attic area extending the life of the roof and lowering energy costs.

  • How do I know when to wrap or replace my trim?

We advise you wrap your trim as soon as the home is built or right after replacing all damaged wood around the trim area of the home, including the fascia, rake boards, freeze boards and soffit. One indication that you need to replace the wood in the trim area is if you see the gutters pulling away from the home, mold and mildew forming behind the gutters, or sagging in the soffit region.

  • What does it mean if I see some of the issues listed in the previous question?

Here are some things that typically cause those issues:

    • Gutter pulling away – normally this either means there is wood rot in the boards or your gutters are clogging, causing overflow, which will damage your wood and possibly your roof.
    • Mold and mildew – indicates moisture gathering in that area, which may mean airflow issues in the roof or soffit region.
    • Sagging – is normally a result of old, damaged or degraded materials, caused either by moisture, gutter overflow, clogging in the air holes, or, on occasion, wildlife making its way into the home!
  • Which trim is right for my home?

The right trim for your home depends on your specific needs and the architectural style of your house. Aluminum window wrap and vinyl window trim are popular for their durability and low maintenance. Our team can help you choose the best option that complements your home’s exterior.

  • Do you paint the sides of the exterior trim?

In our vinyl aluminum wrap installations, painting is not necessary. The vinyl-coated aluminum wrap comes in various colors, eliminating the need for painting while providing a long-lasting, maintenance-free finish.
